If PUA and red pill just taught guys how to be confident, look after themselves, improve themselves then I would be in support of such movements. Confidence is sexy after all. However, these things aren't teaching that. They are teaching guys how to be dysfunctional. Manipulation, lies, applying pressure, reverse psychology and the like are grotesque and requires the user of them to continue to keep up the pretences.

Pretending to be someone you're not all the time takes monumental effort. There is an argument that if you behave like that for too long you become like it as a second nature, which will require learning to become functional once again. Isn't it better to just learn how to be confident and be who you are always so you can meet someone you can relax with?

A life without thinking 2 steps ahead, planning strategy, finding new ways to manipulate sounds like the kind of life people strive for. It's a life where you can just be yourself and be loved and accepted without a facade of lies that threaten to tumble down on you at any moment. I can see why sociopaths find it exciting because they love that shit.

I don't agree with the guy who says to "learn what you need from PUA" as he also acknowledged that these movements are misogynistic. It's like going to an ISIS training camp to learn how to use a gun. If you stay too long or listen to the wrong people you're going to pick up extremist views. If you want to learn how to use a gun go to a gun club and leave out the extremists ideology. It's really that simple. If you need confidence then you can learn it without these groups or ideologies. It just leads to confusion, hence all the "is it true that..." Posts we get here.

Why aren't PUA gurus teaching men to be sex positive male feminists? Every feminist says thats all men need to find casual sex partners. So why not actually try it

So, I just skimmed through the video and I feel like he is actually... okay ? I really like his take on being « process oriented », that helped me a lot in my life.

I don’t want to watch all of his videos tho, but I’m curious. Would you spare the time to explain why you see redpill influences in his content, and maybe link to that ? I’d appreciate it.
