to me it means being self-sufficient to the point where you don't have to ask anybody for anything and I would like to say that that is the norm but from where I'm living in my age group it seems to be the norm to wait and live with your parents as almost everybody I know is either living with their parents or has a bunch of roommates or lives with a boyfriend or girlfriend

In my past I got over a lot of my social anxieties even though I'm not perfect and it does seem that with age there seems to be more and more standards that we place on ourselves and the society places on us and some of them we do have to take with a grain of salt but others do confuse me

Like if a girl does have a lot of debt and a lot of baggage per se I can look past that but it does kind of seem crazy and unfair if she does expect me to somehow be all together or even better than her at that moment.

And even then when you are at this self improvement cap and you've done a lot of work at what point do you know if you are ready.

I was the embodiment of most dating advice when I was younger and yet I did not have a bunch of women coming after me nor did they make interactions easier.
