I'm willing to accept that personality might be a factor to what constitutes an attractiveness.

But first we need to have a clear and definitive way of pointing a good personality with some room for subjectiveness of course.

When people suggest that personaly might be the issue that's holding men back from meeting a eligible partner or love interest, that would ignore the fact that most of our personality traits (What ever they are) are set in stone and to what extent I don't know for sure but I do believe it's inherent and perhaps we carry characteristics from both parents.

But the argument can be made that it does get refined over time because I can honestly say that I changed many times through out the years and my short adult life. And we have the pesky Myers Briggs personality assessment to consider as well (We can disregard zodiac signs because that's bs)

If personality can tip the scales in your favor beyold aesthetics, accomplishments and social status. What would be the key areas to work in generally and what do you look for as a good indicator for personality?

I acknowledge my negative traits as I've gotten nihilistic with a hint of cynicism, I have a very short criteria for a "good personality" for a woman that I would be happy with her for a long term. I observe the way she treats others, especially those who can do nothing for her, I don't know why but I chalk it up to evaluating maternal instincts and kind and intuitive femininity for future potential offspring. Maybe loyalty and support. But I doubt these traits are important from the female perspective when seeing how a man is... or I could be wrong? Why do I say this? Because it takes months if not years to see if the person is pretending to be someone they're not. That's an awful long time for guy to wait to see if a woman is not worth extending it long term... and it's too long for a woman to stick around and look past man who doesnt meet the surface level criteria of physical appearence, money or status for her to see if there's a desirable personality she would be missing out on.

Sharing my thoughts on personality that comes up on threads often while I'm considering personal development.
