Insecurity.
The fact that women brazenly and boldly state a list of preferences for a romantic/sexual partner means that the women either had a higher quality man before and want that again, or that they're not thinking about the male in question in a romantic light, since he doesn't fit the list of qualifications. There's also an insecurity that men who have the qualities on her list are in abundance and the dude in question falls short, and is therefore .... inadequate when compared to his peers/competitors. This triggers them, and triggers them HARD.
It really is fucked up that they cannot accept that there are a lot of hot, high quality dudes out there single and looking for love and they can't understand why a woman would never choose to pass up a fantastic and highly competitive romantic prospect in favor of a mediocre one.

It’s funny cause most women don’t even have that high of standards lol. Like “have a degree and an okay job” when she has those things herself and they’re like OH MY GOD SO UNREASONABLE.
