As a teenager, your greatest concern should be to building yourself and your future career and/or purpose in the world.

That is of the utmost importance, because being able to establish yourself as a high value woman in the world when you come of age is dependent on your ability to demonstrate and maintain high levels of self esteem, self agency, and self mastery, and self efficacy.

You need to start practicing that now and figuring out what that looks like for you. Understanding yourself and what feels good and what doesn’t will help you set appropriate boundaries. Start by setting boundaries and saying “hell no” to anything that feels remotely uncomfortable. It’s better to be a bitch now then live with regret because you didn’t advocate for yourself, trust me.

Your primary focus everyday should be to have fun, make friends, and figure out how you’re going to make an impact in the world. Boys should be waaaaaaaaayyyyy down on the list of things go care about.

Don’t engage in any relationship or waste a moment of your precious time giving a shit about what boys think or Do. Trust us when we say it’s a pointless waste of time. If it doesn’t feel good 100% if the time, then end it. Seriously. You have to set the standard high now because boys your age and older will take advantage of your inexperience if you don’t.

If he pushes a sexual boundary you’re not comfortable with, end it immediately. This is a boy who has not learned impulse control and it will lead to a world of hurt.

At this age you will date and break up many many times. This is FINE. You are learning what works for you and what doesn’t.

Wear sunscreen religiously. Take vitamins and eat healthy. Find a physical activity (dance, martial arts etc) and a mental or artistic hobby (reading, computer coding, guitar, etc) that you love. This will help you become a more well-rounded, interesting adult. Experiment with different styles/makeup to find the one that suits you. You’re 14, so now is the time to have fun with it!

DO NOT GET MARRIED YOUNG. No matter how in love you are, it can wait. If true love is forever then it won't make a difference if you get married at 27 instead of 20.

Don't get drunk on sexual attention, the second a man ejaculates, your sexual power over him is gone. Don't take nude pictures, that stuff can ruin your life. Don't date older men, only boys your age if they are respectful and treat you (and others well). It's OK to be single and not to date at all, preferable actually. Even if you're horny don't have sex yet.

Work on your self esteem and work on screening people for bad character. I strongly recommend you to read "Character Disturbance" by George Simon (ignore the religious part). Learn how to establish healthy boundaries (extremely important!!), there are great books on this topic, too. Work on your social skills and try to create meaningful friendships. Don't get discouraged if that's hard, things get better after high school, I promise.

Take school seriously and work on your interests. Get involved in meaningful activities and work on making a yourself a well rounded person with values and interests.

Work on establishing lifelong habits that will help you - healthy eating, working out, good work ethics.

If you want to keep a worthwhile man, you also need self-respect, personality and your own accomplishments.

PS. Some teenage boys can be incredibly abusive because they are dumb as rocks. Bail at the first sign of disrespect.

Do sport and wear sunscreen. Keep your split ends trimmed and your nails neat. Don't wear too much make up. Eat healthy and don't drink soda, water only. Don't be desperate for male attention.

Everyone else has great advice. I think the most important thing is to never ever think that your value is based on what a man thinks of you. Ever. This should hopefully guard you against toxic relationships more than anything else.
