In my younger years I was a pickme who would give any guy a chance provided he was "nice" to me, despite how unattractive. One guy from college seemed "nice" so we started casually dating. He started trying to get cuddly with me and do PDA in front of his friends to show me off, even though the relationship was brand new. I wasn't attracted to him and even then knew his "trophy gf" mentality was wrong, so I broke it off. He was rebounding as soon as he could, and ended up settling for one of the biggest pickmes on campus. I noticed that, whilst dating her, he would still try to reconnect with me. I tried telling her and she didn't care. He kept trying to dm me over the summer and the ended up proposing to her shortly after. He makes posts now negging and belittling his wife.

Another time, a different guy did a similar type of thing. Knowing better though, I never gave him "a chance". He was friends with a lot of my friends and would always try making moves, no matter how many times he got rejected. One time before we graduated, a huge group of us all went to a local restaurant. He came over to me and started begging me to give him a chance, pressuring me, to which I still rejected. Shortly afterwards, he was prowling for any woman that would accept him. Same thing happened then where he found and settled for a massive pickme he quickly put a ring on. A month before their wedding, he was still sliding into my dms asking me to get drinks - and I ignored him. He now makes posts negging his wife and publicly belittles her.

Then there was my ex, who cheated on me with "Sara", and then immediately started a relationship with "lucy". When I met up with him to give him back his keys and he was paying me what he owed me he started telling me about Lucy. I quickly said that, "I'm glad you're happy and wish you the best but I need to be going now".

He then started telling me Lucy wasn't me. She was "just there" and "down for anything so she's just whatever". He sounded sad and said "it's not the same. You look so good and she's not smart like you or motivated she just does whatever." A few days later a weird number called me, and when I answered it was my ex. He was sobbing and telling me he still loved me and didn't care for her, and he regretted it. I hung up. Less than a year went past and one of my friends ended up informing me that he proposed to Lucy with essentially a gag gift (no ring or anything of value) and she accepted. Word also got around he's still sleeping with Sara whenever she's in his town.

Men can say what they want but the truth is they do panic when they start getting older, and rejecting them triggers it. They scramble to scoop up the most desperate pickme they can find and try to trap her. They will neg and humiliate her, which usually gets worse after they tie the knot, and worst of all they will still try to pursue the "one that got away" aka the HVW that deleted and blocked them.

I can't be the only one who is noticing this and i am seeing more of it the closer I get to 30.
