Stretch marks don’t make you lower in value. Things that make you low value include stealing, cheating, sleeping with random men, etc.

Don't be so hard on yourself. It's not extra weight or stretch marks that make someone low value. Please dont be obsessed with the scale. It means very little. A friend of mine weighs 3 pounds less than me but looks like she weighs 20 pounds less 😂 and my sister weighs 10 pounds MORE than me but we look like we are the same weight. We are all the same height btw 😂I no longer pay attention to the scale. There is a man for every women sis. Whatever your shape is there is a man out there who will ADORE it. I PROMISE you. I've been rejected for not being heavier but I know the men who like my frame are out there. The key is to love the skin you are in first and then find the man to love it next. And you are allowed to prefer a man with some extra weight if that is your genuine preference. Dont let anyone tell you any different.❤🤗

The body does what it does. My type is more fit and average—I like squishy to hug. But I ended up with some pot bellies. I always read profiles first but I see so many people start to have health issues, major ones. I’m glad that I am holding myself to what I want. Comparably, I’m working on my health too. I want a life partner, not to be a caretaker, especially to a manchild that harmed himself.

I am so happy you posted this here because this topic really resonates with me and I hope you know that there is NOTHING wrong with you for who you are in this moment. Hugs.

I currently am recovering from some body image issues and a former ED so I wanted to give you my perspective (along with a trigger warning because I will give a detailed explanation starting on the next line...).

In my opinion, it's not so much the weight or what you look like but how you are taking care of your health overall--mentally, physically, etc. A HVW puts themselves first and that includes honoring your well-being first and foremost. If you are working on your health to become the best version of you, that's HV but if you are only doing this for male validation to date--that is LV and not sustainable for your well-being long term. For me, that meant getting counseling to work on my ED, work with professionals to get my health back on track, and honoring myself by getting exercise to increases my mental health in a positive way. Once I started doing that over a period of time (5 months), I then added items to my routine like lotion after a shower to reduce stretch marks and other skin issues.....then working on just feeling great about myself by taking care of my hair, vitamins, etc.

My ED resulted in a lot of hair loss and random hair growth so I worked on nutrition to make my hair healthier, waxing to get rid of the random hairs until my body recovered, rocking different temporary hairstyles to cover the hair loss until it was no big deal, and then once it was settled I was trying to feel good in the "here and now" by deciding it was what I needed to love NOW for me so I can make peace with my flaws, honor them, rock them, and become my best me. A HVM loves a woman that respects who they are in the moment, rocks it, but also works on continuing to become their best selves.

In my opinion, attractiveness alone cannot on its own be determinative of HV vs LV because attractiveness is highly subjective. The important thing is that both people are genuinely attracted to each other. That’s it. I hear a lot of stories about people who settle with someone they’re not attracted to, and that’s the problem.

There’s a big misunderstanding that being overweight means you don’t take care of yourself. It’s such a LVM thought to think that fat=bad. Having more fat on your body than the average person does not mean that you don’t fill your body with nutritious foods, spend time moving your body, or engage in self care acts that make you feel good. A HVM will see this. A HVM will recognize that your weight does not define your worth.

If you have the time, this podcast episode is a really good listen and helped me understand what it truly means to take care of yourself and accept your body. It goes into the science of weight, and I learned a lot from it! You’re Wrong About: the obesity epidemic
