Criticizing women isn't misogynistic

I haven't seen this type of rhetoric in FDS at all. If anything, I see a lot of criticism of women (especially our past selves!) for their behaviour. From what I've seen, a lot of us (myself included) feel sorry for Pickmeishas and women who have settled for terrible relationships, and hope they realise that they can do and be better. That has nothing o do with absolving women from fault or consequences.

Who's saying this? I'm curious. Can't say I've ever heard anyone say women shouldn't be held responsible for their actions. If anything women are held accountable for both themselves and everything a man does. Women are blamed for literally everything. If the sky falls that's our fault. It is men who are let off the hook

Criticizing a woman for her individual acts that are worthy of criticism is not misogyny.

Criticizing a woman for what is actually the man's fault (like victim blaming) is rooted in misogyny.

Putting disproportionate blame/criticism on women while disproportionately absolving shitty behavior by men is rooted in misogyny.

Criticizing women as a whole based on made-up myths (women are liars/dramatic/whores/etc) is misogyny.

Pretending like all women are inherently perfect and incapable of critique is usually a symptom of rah-rah lib feminism coupled with a fantasy made up by feminist-hating bros who are getting called out for victim blaming or shitting on women.

I don't really see this sub having an issue with pretending women are perfect. In fact, I see this sub willing to call out pick-mes harder than any other woman-centered sub.

Literally no one here is preaching that. FDS is about women taking accountability for their actions. We’re not talking to women from a place of sex-based hatred, that would be misogyny. We do it from a place that encourages growth and self-reflection.

Not sure where you got that idea from, but it definitely isn’t from FDS.

Love the condescension. No one has ever alleged that they don’t. They just might disagree about what a word’s definition is or should be, or what that means in practice.

Until about the 1970s, the definition of rape specifically excluded non consensual sex between husbands and wives. When women lobbied to change that, we weren’t saying “rape” didn’t have a definition.

In practice, sexism could mean treating women as different or inferior when they are not (like assuming we are dumb or can’t do math). Or it could mean ignoring real differences in women’s biology or station in society and treating them as men. When men orgasm basically 100% or the time during hookups and women less than 1/3 of the time, for instance, they aren’t experiencing hookup culture the same way. Women are getting less out of it. It’s not sexism to point that out and demand that the world now space for women and our desires instead of trying to make us like men.
