I've noticed something. When guys ask about length of past relationships and why they ended, they get really uncomfortable with my response of "not long, maybe xyz" (considered short term) and "he just wasn't the right person". They want to go back over it and get details, which I don't do.

I think they realize I'm not going to stick around for whatever, and it doesn't take much for me to move on. Gauging their reaction is interesting when they realize they can't control the relationship.

Anyone else find this to be the case?

ETA: these aren't randos, but men I've been dating for a bit where the conversation comes up naturally.
