Ah, the porn industry came up with the idea of hairless women. Hollywood and the fashion industry followed. The basic message is it's unattractive for a woman to show signs that she's already gone through puberty. Men are loosing their minds. They still control the world, create laws over women's bodies, how much we can earn, but still want us to be more docile because it's threatening we can vote, work and file for divorce, I guess.

Back in the old days an adult male could marry a 12-year-old. Back even further, a man could have a woman burned at the stake for mouthing off, having female cohorts, or exercising knowledge in things like herbal medicine.

Scrotes in misogynistic circles think those were the good old days. Their remedy for women's civil rights and personal preferences is to groom child/women to their liking...Woody Allen style.

Hairless is for the camera. Porn is stagecraft designed and managed to make sex into a live action movie.

Porn is cinematic. Uncomfortable awkward sex positions are designed for visual access. All the jackhammer and continuous changing positions are the dramatic storyline. Moaning and “dirty talk” are the soundtrack. Ejaculation outside the body is the grand finale.

Porn is an industrial product that uses standard movie making techniques and storytelling concepts.

While obvs there might be other rewards like this study indicates- porn has reframed sex as a visual and auditory spectacle that is easily filmed with a story arc and standard soundtrack.

I actually read something once about why women shave their armpit hair (generally). It wasn’t standard until the 1920s when women started showing off their scandalous shoulders 🙄 that men invented the razor and then it got into advertisements (shame based) and then as hemlines started to rise above the ankles then it became standard practice for the legs as well. However personally I would prefer if both genders had to shave their pits because people tend to smell...
Especially during the summer.

The older I get, the more I resent this socially-pressured hair removal. By the time I was in my mid 20s, my skin just didn't heal as quickly as it did in my teens, and I was more prone to infected razor nicks and ingrown hairs. To get hair permanently removed or waxed is expensive as hell.

Are you sure this example is about women though? I remember reading in 'Vagina' by Naomi Wolf that this is the case with the smell of sweat, but only works men to women, not women to men. So men are unaffected by a woman's body odour.

EDIT: I mean they are not sexually attracted to a woman's body odour, not that they don't notice if she has BO!
