A couple of weeks ago (pre-isolation), I was on vacation abroad with my long-term boyfriend, and we ran into one of his former coworkers while out for a jog. They briefly talked about their old work and mentioned how small the world was for them to be running into each other. Before leaving, my boyfriend asked her if he could hug her, she accepted, and they hugged (while I stood awkwardly in the back). Then we left and continued our jog, and he acted like nothing happened.

From what he told me, both of them had worked together for two months before he was transferred, and they hadn’t seen each other for about one year.

I’ve been reading a bunch of FDS posts lately since the isolation started, and it got me wondering if this behavior is acceptable? What are your views on your partner having female friends or displaying affection towards women? I read a few comments about being iffy towards your partner’s female friends, so I’m wondering what your thoughts are.
