So I figured it would be fun if we started a thread to share tales of women we admire and aspire to emulate. Here's one:

A woman I admire and wish to emulate is my little sister. Even though she is younger than me, she is light years ahead in terms of self-love, self-respect, and self understanding. When I was her age I was desperate for male attention and pining after the first guy who ever showed interest in me. He would do me no good and I would keep him around for 2 sad, toxic years. But what did my sister do when a guy first ever expressed interest in her? She consulted the strong women around her and chose not to pursue him despite being very flattered and attracted to him. Why? Because even though she was only 18 years old, she has an inborn love and respect for herself. Her intuition told her that this guy was too good to be true. She was HONEST with herself. Speaking to us, she agreed the reason he was into her (he was 25) was probably because she actually looked closer to about 15 at the time. (Major baby face, to the point where my friends won't believe we're only 2 yrs apart.) She was so mature about it all you guys. Immediately cut him off and didn't bat a lash. At that age I would've let him chew me up and spit me out! Everyday she speaks words of affirmation to herself, it's actually really funny. She'll randomly stop throughout the day and say, "I'm fabulous" "I look GOOD today" "I'm amazing," etc. in THE most dramatic and unashamed way. To this day she has never dated a guy and never felt the need to. She really is wonderful. Who do you admire?
