I hate the gym for this very reason....the leering. At every female in lycra, the cranning of their necks and the unsubtle staring at you via a mirror or some over reflective surface. I mean it, EVERYWOMAN...regardless of age, shape, size. And what's worse, you can literally see them doing the math, what score you are or when they come.over to give you unsolicited advice about what's "wrong" with your form. I haaaaaaate the gym. Hate it. It honestly raises my pulse.

Oh sis, I got tired of the shit too. That's when I started staring back (with a grimace or glare). 99.9% of the time as soon as you make eye contact with a smegmoid he'll look away and act like the ceiling or a garbage bin is suddenly interesting. The .01% time they don't look away and continue to stare, I look them up and down, kind of scoff, and look away. It lets them know that not only do I see them and I'm not a passive object for their amusement, but I've decided that their existence is not even worth a second of my time.

Only do this if you feel it's safe to do so. The overwhelming majority of the time, a brief second of uninterested eye contact is enough to make them cower and realize how stupid they are. But if they sustain the eye contact, chances are they've watched enough porn to delude themselves that women are interested in them and that you're one of those women, OR, a woman refusing to be a passive object is enough to set them off and they think it's an invitation for violence (sort of like dogs). NO SMEGMOID is worth your life. If it makes you uncomfortable, ignore it. For some women, that works. For me, and other women, that entitlement and objectification pisses me the fuck off. This is not always a good idea.

At the gym I usually do group classes to avoid that and asking for turns since I go at peak time. When walking around the street, if someone keeps staring I say Good evening or good night so they stop thinking I am a piece of meat, it usually helps they change a bit their stare.
