Yes!!! Just tonight I practiced a precept from the FDS handbook. “No last minute dates”. He’s trying to get me on a video call date within an hour even though I haven’t heard from him in 2 days. No. Felt good to stand my ground and uphold my standards. The micro messages we send to our self esteem matter! When we hold to our boundaries and standards we hold ourselves up!

I have been fat my while life so I never got a lot of attention from men.

I volunteered for a campaign and one of the other volunteers was a guy who suffered from severe social anxiety. He could not get a complete sentence out when he talked to people. He sent me a message to ask me on a date.

I felt bad for him, but I also knew I needed good conversation on a date.

I was thinking over how to respond when my make roommate came in and I asked him, "Is it too much to ask for a guy who can complete a sentence when taking to me?"

I realized how silly the question was as I was saying it. My roommate said no, it's not too much to ask.

Wow, I can't believe I even considered sacrificing my own enjoyment like that. Fat or not, I don't have to sacrifice an evening for male attention.
