December 25, 2021 marked the day where I seriously invested my time finding “the one” on OLD. I deleted the app in August and decided to pull myself out of the dating game for the sake of my mental health. I couldn’t deal with the men on the apps anymore.

I thought I would download the app this year again. My goal was to make it past December 25, and now I’m in the new year. Ideally, my goal is make it past August, so that it will be officially one year since I’ve used OLD, which marks the longest time I’ve ever been off. Realistically, I’m hoping to make it through spring.

So far, it’s been great! I enjoy my alone time, and have gotten back to being myself. I’ve reconnected with old friends and we occasionally talk. I’ve met new friends who are like me as well ( single girls my age), and we have virtual “movie dates” due to the pandemic. We share hobbies like our love for movies, animation, and books.
