I’m pro-choice as well and I always have been which is why this is extra baffling to me. It’s so much to un-pack.

The fact that the TRA’s think uterus transplants are biologically possible. Human beings are not legos, you cannot just trade parts. Even non-reproductive organs are risky because of the risk of rejection.
Do they think they will be a priority? There are people dying eveyday because they need vital organ transplants to survive.
If uterus transplants become a thing, it will be INSANELY expensive. And you best believe the TRAs will lobby and protest that tax dollars should pay for it. Or they will create gofundme’s like they currently do for their hormones and gender affirming surgeries🙄
Where do they think these body parts will come from? Do they expect women to donate them? Are they going to lobby to take them from dead women? Will they bully and harass childfree women on social media to give up their uterus because they “arent using it”? This is already happening on apps like twitter.
Men will never ever realize what an abortion is like for women. It can be a hard or easy decision for women, but regardless, it is still an incredibly invasive procedure that can still an incredibly painful experience, even done under the care of a professional. Underground abortions are a different story.
If they got a uterus transplant, they would have to pay for IVF and I would bet my life savings that they will lobby the government to pay for this, but not give a shit that infertile women rarely get IVF covered by their insurance because they don’t consider it a medical necessity.
What is the fucking point of paying for an expensive uterus transplant that requires intensive, invasive surgery, then paying for expensive IVF, only to get a fucking abortion to feel “validated”. WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT?! I thought I had seen it all from the TRA’s before the gender critical subreddit was banned, but men will always find a way to baffle me and lower the bar everyday.
