What’s with American men using the word “give” like this?

Recently I heard the gossip of an acquaintance whose marriage is in the dumps talk about how his wife “won’t give him sex”. Maybe I find this wording so disturbing because English isn’t my first language but it definitely throws me off whenever I come upon it.

Gave me a daughter? No! We HAD a daughter. Gave me sex? No, you HAD sex.

Is this a language issue or am I right to read something sick into this?

Ana is so beautiful, sweet, and funny. She gave Chris Brat a chance when he played that insignificant character on Parks and Rec. After he rose to fame, and she took a break to take care of their home, he was seen flirting shamelessly with Jennifer Lawrence in every interview as if it were a big "fuck you" to Ana. Their marriage broke up shortly after. I haven't liked him since. What an opportunistic loser. Who throws their family under the bus to climb the social ladder? This guy does.

Seeing Chris Brat in GoTG gave me all I needed to feel about him. Call me weird but even if the actor isn’t a serial womanizer the character makes me so turned off it’s like I can’t see past it. Now seeing his posts I’m thinking he’s more like Quill and it’s unsettling but unsurprising. Totally gross!

There's a lot to comment on in regards to his post...but being grateful for having a healthy daughter isn't it?

I see people express gratitude for having healthy children all the time even if they have no other children who aren't healthy, so in my eyes saying that he's indirectly referring to his ill son seems like a stretch. But then again, the context is overall terrible and he's clearly a shameless and shallow pos so who knows.
