This is the only way to do it ππππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Something that should add to your life shouldn't be a challenge.

Took me a long time to come to this realization. Until then, Iβll focus solely on myself and become the best version I could be. Iβm okay waiting for my partner and wonβt let loneliness drive me to the wrong person!

But no human relationship, romantic or not, works like this. With my parents, with my friends, with everyone you'll fight now and then. No one is perfect, I'm not saying compromising or having someone who doesn't respect you/treat you right but no one is perfect and no relationship ever flows like water. I am not perfect myself why should I demand someone who is perfect?

I don't think they meant that it would be perfect. It's more about compatibility. Not having to explain yourself over and over again because they get it. Disagreements are normal but not losing your hair from stress because you're fundamentally incompatible with someone π€·ββοΈ
There are certain things I will never fight about, at all. It won't even be a discussion. Not just with a partner, but my family too. My boundaries are set.

I don't think it's about being perfect at all. It's about being comfortable and compatible and caring about one another.
I've never been in a relationship where there haven't been disagreements - but in the good ones, we'd resolve those without animosity or spite. They were a part of our relationship as much as sharing nice things.
With unhealthy relationships, I've felt like I'm always hitting snags. Like if I say something the wrong way, it'll cause a problem. Like any long silence is something to be worried about, or like attempts to even share nice things can be jarring.
It is absolutely not about perfection. It's about mutual respect.

I agree, especially if you're in a relationship where you live together and have shared finances and/or have children. There are going to be difficulties.
