This is so true. When I talk about my career, I have a lot of poeple complementing me but in the scope of dating, they ghost me or lose interest or barely compliment me and prefer talking about themselves. It's rare when a man says "Wow you're amazing for doing all that". Men feel so superior, sometime I can tell they're impressed but they purposely UNDER react. I know it's an easy vetting strategy but it's so annoying. I went on a date with a guy who did feel very impressed/amazed. He was a lawyer. Then he started to show a red flag so yeah, bye.

I feel like they can start out adoring you and then slowly over time that adoration starts turning into resentment because they know you’re better than them.
