P.S. I don’t think that blocking a person from social media is a good thing. As one of my gfs said “he can watch my amazing life, how much I am achieving, how hot I look and cry”.

The fact that you want to ‘make a statement’ shows that you care.
Blocking isn’t just for them, it’s for you.
When my ex first broke up with me I thought something similar, I wanted him to see my new profile pictures of me looking skinny and travelling and regret what he’d done because I STILL CARED. When I actually began really moving on I finally just blocked him, I didn’t care for him to know what I was up to and I had absolutely no desire for him to contact me ever again, so I made it virtually impossible. I don’t care what ‘statement’ he thinks that makes about me either way.

Agree. Totally agree. I had a hard time blocking my ex partly because I cared and partly because I wanted him to think I didn't care. Weird, right? When I stopped caring about any of that, I tried to keep him unblocked for the sake of our mutual friends, but seeing his ugly face and stupid "I'm still relevant" comments pushed me to block him. I already had his phone blocked so this prevented him hitting me up on social media too. And I actually LOVE that he can't see a damn thing. It just feels so good to have him gone and also know he can't stalk my shit for information. My friend asked me last night if I still talk to him. I said No girl, I permanently blocked him everywhere because I got tired of the pettiness and games.

He does because he can see comments, likes, followers. He can see the fact that you are becoming a better version of yourself, fitter, hotter, richer, living your best life (those are things anyone should strive towards) would annoy him way more than you just blocking him IMO.
For example, when I was in school, I was overweight and got bullied for my weight. Instead of blocking my bullies, I have decided to keep my socials open while becoming the best version of myself - version they’d never be able to become. I got super fit, started going out with coolest guys, got my degree, set up my business, started traveling to gorgeous locations. And all of those fuckers who hurt me are now my followers that slide into my dms on daily, beginning for a reply.
That feels way better than blocking them.

I get what you’re saying, but at the same time, it just seems like you care way too much about proving people wrong who don’t even think twice about you on a regular, people who don’t care and people who are irrelevant. If you really didn’t care about said people, you wouldn’t have to prove anything.
I tried that with my ex, wanted him to see how great I was doing - but in the end it just proved I was still bitter about it and I still cared. Now that I’m in a happier place with a better man, I don’t even think twice about shoving how great I’m doing to my ex. 🤷🏾♀️
