Men literally assume EVERYTHING is on their terms! The audacity?! Like my friend (I met her after this) was with a guy where he wanted to "see where things go" for 3 and a half f-ing years (no label, he messed around with other women while expecting her to be exclusive, she did wifey duties) and she constantly tried to start a relationship with him literally begging but he "wasn't ready" and "wanted to see where things go". She ended up winning this radio competition to go to Europe on a tour and she did it and the whole time he was freaking out and whining and telling her not to go and how she better not mess with any guys. She went, had the time of her life, and met an amazing group of women who told her wtf are you doing. She came home and told him that she wasn't wasting anymore time with him and ONLY THEN did he start saying he was ready and he was in love and wanted to be with her. Absolute scrote. Always on his terms. Thankfully she didn't listen and is a whole queen now.

Hon, I am on board with you about keeping the standard high and this is on a completely different note --- just be careful when engaging with a man like that. I am sure you've taken appropriate measures to cut him off completely and without any ramifications of no-future man child's rejected ego fury. I am just concerned that he has a criminal past and the extent which he knows where you live and do.

This is where I get skeevy about FWB situationships. For it to work, women usually have to lower their standards, because few, if any, HVM would be interested in such an arrangement. This guy thought he had a chance with you because you ultimately gave him the time of day. By sleeping with him, you somewhat accepted his NV self. I’m glad you’ve ended it with him, but please re-read the handbook. Disrespect like this can be easily avoided.

This is a classic. I’ve also had fwb situations and many take for granted that you would date them anytime. Knowing you just want no have fun and no strings attached to THEM is a blow to their ego. Normally they will try to up dating stuff (like asking to go out on a dinner when you have only met for sex before) just so you will give them some love on their terms. If they are respectfully rejected because you’re not interested, cue the YOURE USING ME!! drama
