I personally ha e kissed and made out with guys (without sex) and always have an upset stomach for about a day after. This happens pretty anytime I kiss someone. So it makes sense for me.

I have noticed when I kiss someone new, I’ll often get a sore throat for a few days or feel a bit under the weather. It has made me WAY more picky about who I’m swapping germs with. I haven’t kissed any man since before COVID. 😅

Bacteria that cause cavities is also contagious!! You can risk your dental health kissing by someone who isn’t taking care of themselves.

This is the only study I could find, but it was only done on 21 couples. I haven't seen any studies done on kissing someone once and how long it may last. But I don't think it affects you that long.

This study indicates that a shared salivary microbiota requires a frequent and recent bacterial exchange and is therefore most pronounced in couples with relatively high intimate kiss frequencies.
