TIL that Queen Elizabeth's mother, also Queen Elizabeth, not only turned down numerous marriage proposals in her youth but Prince Albert had to propose to her THREE TIMES over the course of two years before she accepted. That is the equivalent of turning down Prince Harry today!! THAT is what being a HVW who knows her worth looks like - she made absolutely sure he was the one for her and that she could cope with the lifestyle as a member of the royal family (of course she had no way of knowing Bertie would actually become King). This is the energy I'm bringing into 2022 lol. Making the 2nd in line to the British throne wait and court you for years? Literal queen shit!

Edit: Reminder this all happened a literal century ago... I mentioned Harry simply as a modern point of reference since his brother is directly in line for the throne like Bertie's was. This post is about historical people who are all now deceased, no need to get bogged down in current politics.
