One of the biggest challenges of feminism is imploring men to see our humanity.

Instead, they see us as resources. An entity to extract resources from. Be that sex, time, labor. Our bodies and our mind are siphoned, leaving women hollow. Powerless.

Men judge us on our sexual utility before our humanity.

To be a feminist, a radical feminist, is the advocate for the humanity of women.

Liberal feminists treat women as resources.

Resources that are actively dehumanised to pander to male needs and desires.

We live in a radical patriarchy.

That is why I advocate for a radical feminism.

Edit: to place title of this post in in context, ( Never surrender, never give up the fight) Emmeline Pankurst was a suffragette. She was portrayed by Meryl Streep in the film "Suffragette" starring Carey Mulligan ( Promising Young Woman).

That's precisely why when vetting someone, I always say I'm a woman, NOT a lady, etc., that let them know that I consider my liberty, my freedom, of UTMOST importance. I let them know, in words and actions, that I'm not going to be bound by convention, or stereotypes, that I kick HARD against that.

I've found that a HVM will not only accept this, but delight in it and work hard with me, as he's been working hard all along, for all people, all women especially, to be free, to be their best selves, set free from the shackles of gender expectations, stereotypes, respectability politics, etc. Those who defend men, who call women "inappropriate" or make other huffing noises? No use for them, no time, you can leave now.

I vet men with this, and it tells me pretty much all I need to know, such as my being a solo female world traveler. That I own my own home. That I've already been married twice, and will not marry a third time. That I'm open to dating, but won't live with any man again. I have no kids by choice, and don't want anyone else's. It comes down to being utterly unafraid to assert my likes and dislikes, and using his reactions as a vetting tool. He's on board with all I say and agrees? Great, good first step... let's see how his actions match up, so give it a few weeks, a month or so at most. That's when you'll really see if what he says matches what he does in practice. Being out, loud, and proud about freedom for yourself and for all women is a fantastic vetting tool. Use it.
