"familial roles come from the nature of biology. males on the earth historically have ALWAYS done more it is just NOW that we as a species have reached a space in our existence where the world is safe enough for the equity youre talking about (not equality) traveling 100+ miles alone today for a woman is safer than 100+ years ago. the world is safer. Womens role is nurture.. not by choice by nature. your womb is a space of creation. Men arent your enemy your mindset is. "

yeah, and men did also write books chronicling their lives and when feminists say that women have always worked more than men then this is not speculation but based on the descriptions of everyday life men themselves put to paper. Men freely admitted to this because in their minds it was right, and that to serve men is what women were there for.
If both were field workers and came home after a long work day he got to rest while she still had household chores. If both were factory workers and came home he got to rest and she still had household chores. In every class except nobility and wealthy burghers women did the same work as their men and then additionally looked after the household.
One way to boast about their wealth and status for men was to show off that they could afford to keep wives as luxury and not for work, which was the reason for practices like foot-binding and corsets. Those practices made physical labor impossible thus giving visible and doubtless proof of the man's status and wealth.
Men have always worked less than the women of their time in all of history. For sources see all the books written by men about their times and lives.
TLDR: tell him to go and read a book.
