I think it probably depends on each individual but in your fake scenario with the actors I feel like Scarlett Johanson would still get more offers simply because p*ssy is in higher demand than dick. Like that one post that said if a girl walked outside and offered sex thered be 80 guys or something lined up but if a dude did it like no women would probably even respond. Im sure Chris Hemsworth would still have a shit ton of offers especially from pickmeishas and the like but in a normal open relationship that is the reason why, because men want pussy/casual sex waaay more than women want dick/casual partners, so when they know a woman is giving it up they will flock to her hoping to get a chance..

It doesn't have much to do with attractiveness and instead happens because men will have sex with literally anyone (or anthing) if given the chance. Women will be more cautious as sex is more risky for them. That's why a woman looking for sex can easily find someone and a man looking for sex will have much more trouble finding women.

If it’s a really attractive man with a reasonable approach? Maybe.

However, really attractive men are accustomed to getting whatever women they want, so they typically finish dating every woman who comes on to them by the time they’re 30 or so. They don’t need constant validation and ego stroking from women. They know who they are and they know their worth and typically make good partners.

This is very simple: most men are attracted to most women. But most women are only attracted to some men. Period. So your 'average' looking female will have the majority of single men interested in her while the 'average' looking male will have very few, if any.

This is why there is that 80/20 rule on Tinder. That is most women swipe right on 20% of the men but most men swipe on 50% of the women. Women are far pickier (as we should be). **I just fact checked this and it looks like women right swipe 14% while men 46%. Women have a 10% match success while men have 0.6%

In my own personal experience, I get 50+ matches a week on OLD. My male friends who have, in my opinion, decent to great looking photos and a pleasant description only receive a handful of matches a week. I'm perhaps a bit biased, but I do think that based on looks alone, my male friends and I are about equal in terms of quality description and attraction.

Same thing happens in real life. Easy for me to talk to a half dozen single men who offer their numbers in an evening of bar hopping while my male friends have trouble chatting with one.

Please note: this is on looks alone, but I'd argue that first impression at a bar/ restaurant or on a dating profile is generally based on attractiveness.

To answer your question: it's fairly easy to find a decent middle value man as a sidepiece. The men will gave to work significantly harder to find the same.

My ex convinced me to do an open relationship. He was not attractive - in good shape but not attractive. He was INCREDIBLY manipulative and he was able to come off as charming. So he did get laid a lot when we opened our relationship - but only because he'd been flirting with women before we did and cultivating the opportunities.

I know because I talked to them after.

Guys typically have to work to get laid. Women just have to be available. I could go to just about any bar right now and find a man who wants to take me home. It would probably take me less than an hour. A man would have to work at it. Buy drinks, say the right things, find an easy woman, etc. it could take all night.

I think it partially has to do with women having less payoff in casual sex already. As someone who is open to a casual relationship, I have ZERO interest in men who have girlfriends or wives. This tells me straight away that I'll be used as a warm body and nothing more. There will be no dates, we likely can't even be friends because chances are the female partner won't allow such things, there's no chance of progress. And even if there was a chance of progress I have no interest in a dude who will leave his LTR for me.

I'd rather just sleep with an unattached guy and not have the complications of his relationship OR just masturbate and sleep in peace.

I know a couple in an open relationship in which the guy scores much more. The girl is bisexual and occasionally hooks up with another girl, the guy goes through 10 girls a week.

He isn’t even particularly attractive (mid 40s, graying, a bit overweight, acne scars, smoker).
