I've made a few female friends on Bumble BFF since this whole Covid shit has been kicking off.

I was using bumble bff and having moderate success with it prior to restrictions being implemented. Still in contact with the people I met and liked through it but obviously we’re not going out so the relationship is kind of stagnating.

The other way I’ve met people has been through a subreddit specific to the city in which I live. There used to be semi regular meet ups announced on it (again not really a functional option at this time).

So I don’t have any great advice during this restrictive time. For me (even though I can maintain very text heavy friendships) it’s hard to form a “friendship” without some face to face interaction at the beginning.

Perhaps you should look towards communities/groups you were already a part of (even tangentially). I know my gym is going to start doing a zoom happy hour on top of zoom training sessions. I wouldn’t saying anyone there is my “friend” but we’re acquaintances and it will probably be an enjoyable experience - even if I am a wall flower the first few get togethers.
