Potential HVM?

In my personal opinion, a HVM:

- Treats his partner like a queen
- Is proud/supportive of his partner, her goals and achievements
- Has no problem introducing a partner to family & friends
- Has a good relationship with his family (maybe except when the family itself is toxic, idk) and gets along with partners family
- Doesn't drag emotional baggage into new relationships, understands the past should stay in the past
- Is open about his feelings and understands the importance of working on issues as soon as they come up in the relationship instead of just sweeping problems under the carpet
- Shows his partner he loves her IN HER LOVE LANGUAGE, isn't afraid to say "I love you" as many times as she needs to hear it
- Takes his partner on interesting dates and tries to do new things together every now and then
- Doesn't cheat, physically or emotionally
- Enters a relationship with the intention of making it work long term
- Likes traveling and makes plans for the future
- Has a job he likes and is successful at, doesn't need to be rich but dating someone who hates his job is the recipe for disaster
- Wants a companion, not a mommy type gf
- Makes time to see his partner even during a busy week
- Is generous
- Pays genuine compliments, wants partner to feel safe and confident
- Knows how to take things slow and isn't pushy with physical intimacy
- Has good humour, is emphatic, has a non toxic group of friends that treat you with respect
- Is confident in his own sexuality and isn't afraid to be affectionate towards other men
- Shows up on time
- Won't go days without texting/calling
- Makes plans to see you days ahead and follows through with it, takes your tastes into consideration
- Takes care of his mental & physical health
- Puts his partners pleasure first in bed, doesn't ask her to do anything she's uncomfortable with
- Isn't a jealous beast who tries to drive you away from family & friends

It's a long ass list, I know

A HVM is a lot like a HVW. It boils down to- they know what they want and they have a plan to get it. I think one of my friends is a HVM or at least pretty close to one. One of the biggest differences from other LVM that I’ve seen is that even in dating, he leaves a relationship once he realizes that they’re not compatible. He knows exactly what he’s looking for in a woman for a long term relationship leading to marriage. He’s direct with his intentions and generous with his time/effort to the women he dates and his friends. A HVM should have hobbies and should always be improving himself for himself rather than for the sake of “getting girls.” If he has career goals, he should have a concrete plan to get there and should be able to start executing. They are respectful to even strangers and they are kind and empathetic. They can express emotions clearly but do not wallow in self pity. And of course, going back to FDS- consistency is key, putting on an act for 3 months doesn’t count

He’s ready for a relationship. He’s honest on what he wants & needs. There’s communication. He’s not on any bullshit and won’t drag you into any of it.
