Not to be difficult but knowing your worth can also be choosing not to go to a restaurant during a pandemic. Your health is more important than a romantic gesture & if they are a good person they won’t be offended if you chose not to partake.

I would love to hear your ideas on standards to set for a long distance situation!

My cousin and I are quarantining together at the moment and her boyfriend is several hundred miles away. They have a virtual “date” planned for Sunday night, however I have a gut feeling that this guy is a LVM and I’m having a hard time articulating what she should expect from someone so far away. She seems to have gotten it in her head that the distance is an excuse for him to not pull out all the stops.

I’ve never been in a LDR situation, but I would expect him to send flowers/a gift/wine despite the distance. Thoughts?
