I'm in a long term relationship with someone and things are going great. We've been living together for a year and he is very respectful and we get along happily.

Happily enough that I've managed to kick off some addictions (used to be an alcoholic & recreational drug addict) and am planning to go back to school to further my career.

Now that I'm sober I'm getting myself back out there, trying to reconnect with friends or make new ones etc & I guess I feel like I'm new at this. Some guy friends from college and highschool are starting to take notice of this & I've been messaging with a few of them over social media/text.

I remember them being generally okay guys in terms of smart and fun etc. but I'm not sure if all they want is friendship. One of them moved far away after highschool and we lost touch. Another one is someone that I did fool around with once but we were just friends before and after it (back in my 'pick-me' days during college). Regardless I dont think I had or have any feelings for either of them. I did used to have a lot of male friends, mostly because I was a pick-me LVF but I didn't date any of them.

Now I'm getting a few invites to hang out as they're 'back in town for a couple of weeks' or apparently come around to my part of town often etc. I've told my boyfriend and he's okay with it as I'm hoping its just a friendly catch up of old friends. I don't generally post many pictures with my boyfriend on facebook (or announce our relationship) as I have a conservative family and work friends & generally like to go over personal stuff face to face (also my boyfriend is someone I used to work with). Somehow I have a feeling that if I was to tell them I had a boyfriend directly they would either stop talking to me or give me one of those 'don't flatter yourself' responses.

It has been over 5 years since I've seen any of these people but we used to be very close either in college or highschool. I have also been meeting up with old female friends from schools and I also wait until being in person to disclose relationship details because it's personal. When I was using I would just let the other person steer but now I would like to aquire some friends. Is it possible for me to have the same kind of relationships with males or am I sending the wrong signals by agreeing to hang out 1-1?
