This was really well written. What do you think has been the most impactful/important FDS knowledge to you?

Mine is “he knows” & “if he wanted to he would” it really applies to a lot of different relationships. And has helped me keep rock solid boundaries.

I’m so happy you found FDS!! This is such a unique and powerful community of women.

Also, I’m impressed with anyone who learns English as a second language! The rules in English, and the hundreds of exceptions to them, make this a crazy language to master. I’ve been speaking English my entire life, and I still get confused 😅

I fell into this trap also, and it's utterly self destructive to detach feeling from intercourse. Allowing someone to see (and touch) you in your most vulnerable state, then pretend you don't care about it is very damaging.
