I was on the purple pill sub discussing abusive relationships. A guy told me that since I had been in a few, I should examine my role in them - why I kept “picking” bad guys.

While I don’t necessarily disagree, when we examine our behavior and what we put up with, and decide to raise our standards, then we’re unrealistic and entitled bitches. In that same thread a guy was literally telling girls to lower their standards.

We can’t win. It’s our fault if guys abuse/lie/cheat on us. We’re bitches for examining our choices and demanding better. We’re either doormats or entitled. Unrealistic or to blame.

Where are the demands that men be better from OTHER men. Why is the responsibility always on us?

From now on if a man isn’t actively speaking out against the problem - saying things like “not all men” or “it happens to guys, too!” THEY ARE PART IF THE PROBLEM.

Very well. Now, what are you doing to actively ensure your son, your nephew, your little neighbor, the guys on the football team you are coaching do not become "shitty men"? Boys aren't born bad. If they were, there would not be a whole sub of women willing to praise the good and worthy among them. This implies that becoming a "shitty man" is a learned habit. Where did they learn it from? Women have been denigrated to the point their concerns, their opinions and the solutions they bring to the table are always shot down and mocked. Therefore, it is not our job to fix the problem, since whenever we try, we are silenced with threats and violence. It is your job to fix it. Or simply admit that you are shit too and do not deserve the energy and sacrifices your mothers made and invested in raising you.

Of course women with bare minimum standards are single, because there's no one to meet them. Have you seen the selection of men lately? It's better to stay alone than to suffer through THAT. Entitlement, audacity, laziness, depravity, abuse, nastiness, disrespect, unfairness, pornsickness. Not wanting any of that doesn't leave a lot of choices to pick from. Most men are undesirable to the point where solitude beats them easily any day.

Actual men, not fake nice guys or scraping the bottom of the barrel type men, absolutely know how crappy the majority of the male population is and are appalled. It's not hard to see.

Whatever action we do we are judged. If we stay too long in an abusive relationship we are blamed for either not fixing it, not fixing him, not compromising, victim blamed for choosing him in the first place, or blamed that we were too compromising.

If we decide to give nice guys a chance and get burned, we are also blamed even though they are the ones who told us to give them a chance. If we fight back and increase our standards someone our equal or higher we are deemed "picky", "high maintenance", "stubborn bitches", there's absolutely no way to win aside from not playing, it seems. It's so rigged.

It's sad that a HVM is just a guy who puts in the same amount of effort that you would for him. It shouldn't be that way. Why is it so hard for hardworking women to find an equally hardworking man that is sympathetic and isn't riddled with insecurities/anger problems?
