A personal post but another level up on my end, so quick after focusing on re-establishing myself. I've dreamt of being a trades woman since a very young age (specifically mechanic or land surveying) but ended up going the social work route.

Since I want a change, I applied for a government union engineering program with multiple options, I did my test just before the epidemic hit. Everything is slower due to the obvious but I received a call from my friend (who is an equipment operator with them and she knows what's going on) who told me about their positions for a need for apprentices.

It's official. I'm on the list and I can choose between three major routes in the trades that pay well and give me such a leg up from what I've been doing for six years. It's just a matter of waiting. Another exciting chapter beginning in the fall!

Remember everyone, all it takes is some self love, patience and effort and it starts to take effect rather quickly. We all start somewhere. Be gentle on yourself ❤️💪🏻
