Remember to be on the look out for more than just overtly negative reactions too. They can be subtle, such as passive aggressiveness or manipulation. My ex-boyfriend, when he didn’t get his way, would say everything was fine, but then act extremely passive aggressive or guilt and manipulate me to get his way.

THIS, times a THOUSAND!!!!

My ex was PERFECT in every way imaginable. PERFECT. For the first year. Then he RANDOMLY, out of the blue started threatening to kill himself, and me, my sisters, my brothers, and my friend in a murder-suicide fashion reserved for a Halloween horror special. What was the triggering event??? I wanted to spend the weekend away with my brothers. This was something we'd do maybe twice a year. A sibling getaway. He prevented me from going. Once he learned that he could control me and change my plans by THREATENING TO BLOW MY GODDAMN HEAD OFF (his favorite catch phrase), he began doing it more and more, over trivial shit.

Well... that relationship fell apart. I had to run for my life.

literally this. i was with a man (my first mistake lmao) for 8 months and he would have actual meltdowns over the tiniest fucking things like a stupid amazon headset he ordered not working right but the second i told him "hey, i really hate how when i come to you for support on my problems you make it about you and how you're upset or feel like a bad boyfriend so i have to comfort you on top of what i'm already dealing with" and less than 24 hours later he dumps me saying that i require too much emotional support - aka literally what i told him before. men? garbage.

Truth! On a first date I didn't want to kiss a guy and he got mad at me. I was nice about it too. I just said "I don't want to kiss you YET, because I don't really know you". And when he kept trying to kiss me I was just like wow wtf respect my boundaries bro. I felt so uncomfortable.

I find it interesting because this sounds to me like spoiled children. Admittedly I'm an incel & so my boundaries with others are clearly drawn. I stay within my own lines regardless of it's in person or online, whatever. Because of this, I don't understand how someone can cross other people's boundaries like that. It's like an invasion. I wouldn't want someone doing that to me.
