Thank you!! I’m so tired of this mentality. Or when people say things like, “You’re so pretty. I can’t understand why you’re still single.” I know they’re trying to compliment me, but there’s this undercurrent of belief that singleness is not by choice if you’re a woman. That I should simply accept whatever jerk comes my way because they think I’m pretty.

Even my dad told me, if there are women on tv and they are pretty, he will spot the one who "knows she's pretty." He says those ones are trouble. lmao but my parents are married and he never cared about that, he always liked a challenge.
