I'm really getting tired of this crap. Feminists claim their use of "toxic masculinity" is an attempt to help men, but articles like this one make it pretty damn clear their main goal is to blame all the world's problems on men. The mistake here lies in ignoring the fact that the real dividing line on this issue is between the political Left and Right, not men and women. Plenty of conservative women deny climate change, and plenty of liberal men accept it and support action on it. But these facts are completely ignored by these feminists, because their misandrist minds zero in on any scrappy statistic they can find that supports their sexist views, and use them to weave a blatantly sexist narrative about an issue far larger than the gender debate and far too important to get mired down in gender politics.

Why? Because in their worldview, men control everything (a falsehood) and therefore men can be blamed for everything bad in the world (particularly White men—let us not forget that there are no Conservatives of other racial groups that support these lies). This is identity politics at its worst, and feminists have been employing these sexist, divisive tactics for nearly a decade now, if not more. They've certainly a history of blaming men for all women's problems for over a hundred years.

Societal problems like racism, rape, domestic violence, homophobia, and now apparently climate change are far too complex to be reduced down to an effect of a subset of hyper-masculine traits. Feminists know this, and they also know that other factors are far more relevant than male gender norms, but they nonetheless choose to point their fingers at men, because the more negativity they can associate with men, the more sympathy and preference they can garner for women. This is no different than how they skewed the conversation about domestic violence for half a century via the Duluth Model; they're still using the same shitty, sexist tactics to blame men for a societal problem for which women bear equal culpability. Parsing these problems along gendered lines makes no rational sense, but that doesn't matter, because feminists are so bitter that they can't stop construing all of reality as male oppression.

Seriously, a big deal is made about incels and MGTOWs being bitter, misogynistic women-haters, who make too big a deal of their own bad experiences with women, but no one ever stops to consider that an analogous pattern of warped psychology is taking place in even mainstream feminist academics like Megan Mackenzie (the author of the above article). Feminist misandry isn't limited to the likes of radical feminists; it's politely veiled, but very much present in the "moderate" feminists leading the feminist movement and shaping feminist thought.

I for one, am tired of seeing these misandrists get a spot in the limelight of mainstream media outlets, as though their sexism is "progressive." It's not. No sexism is. Feminists like this are among the most regressive voices in mainstream culture today, but because it's of a new variety (read: employs the same tactics against different groups), the public largely fails to recognize it for the bigotry it is.
