Honestly, I think we’ve got this.

I feel bad. I’m in my 40s.

When I was a kid, diversity was LOVE. I was, and still am, in for it.

Having a liberal outlook was about loving people who are different than you and combatting prejudice.

And I lived my life. Did my thing.

But, for basically the entire time, I was aware that something cancerous was brewing. People saying “men are pigs” or “kill all men”, and I just didn’t pay any attention… I brushed it off as a few crazy assholes from hateful echo chambers.

And I didn’t start to pay attention until very recently.

Intersectionality is basically codified prejudice. Seriously. It is ascribing multiple prejudices at once. “Take a bunch of surface level impersonal facts about a person, and use that to make a bunch of presumptions about them”. Stacked-prejudice.

And it went from being about love to being about hate. Recognizing differences and LOVING people, to just hating people.

And all it takes for evil to flourish is for good people to do nothing, and I was doing nothing.

But I’m back, and I think we can fix this.

Lefts aligning with this sub's main thought process are very hard to find. I am also glad I found this place. It's better being here than joining hands with the misogynists ( the traditional conservative ones )

I would not say it's exclusively leftist. and i would rather not have to soley deal with orthodox forms of leftism here, given that that involves conflict theory so it either becomes "our real enemy is capitalism" or it becomes some deranged conflict theory take where you twist reality into one where men and women are different classes, in conflict, and where women are bourgeois. None of this is very useful.

There's should be no intrest in RTVRN ideas, that's what the "progressive and left wing" part filters out. But let's be clear, I'm a liberal, not a leftist. If there's a push towards leftist monolateralism you're going to fail. Because such movements have rarely historically succeeded, and you'll find yourself consumed by the more coherent leftist argument against men. You need ideas that counter modern narratives gender and oppression. A better theory of power than conflict theory as well. That shit is the domain of feminism and you will not win on away court.
