It’s time to start suing schools for sexist discrimination.

A few guys have the guts to do it… courtroom documents proving gender bias in grading, and that should basically do it.

Title IX demanding either a “men’s studies” department, or the elimination of “women’s studies” majors.

Religion leaked into government, and that’s illegal.

Change is definitely possible for the people closest to you. I've convinced a lot of close former feminists and close trads towards actual egalitarianism.

maybe for the rest of the world, 200 years down the line. as for our lifetimes? don't hold your breath on the world changing. we've gone from the traditional 'men are agents and women are acted upon' to the modern progressive 'men are super monolithic agents and women are acted upon'. Change so far has been easy because nothing actually changed.

I've been following these issues and discussions for about 15 years now, and change is slow, but it is happening. 15 years ago, the idea that men have problems at all was controversial, now everyone is aware of at least a few, and "Patriarchy hurts men too" is a standard refrain in feminist spaces. I've seen a few countries seriously considering advisors or departments for men and boys, as a counterpart to the ones they already have for women and girls. Movember has proven that there is a nonzero appetite for supporting men, even if most of their funds are either hoarded or put toward women's causes.

We're still in the beginning stages for sure, but there is some progress outside of people talking on social media.

I'm a pessimist, or a "doomer" as Redditors would call it. I don't think sexism against men will get solved, but I also don't think the deteriorating state of the world will get solved.

Humanity as a whole is facing severe threats like climate change and collapsing birth rates, and the way sexism affects men is neglected even in the ways it relates to those issues. Collapsing birth rates, for example: some people focus exclusively on the causes related to women's issues like the burden of maternity, completely ignoring that men too face burdens like the expectations of being a provider or the discrimination against fathers. Or climate change: some people are lunatic enough to blame men in particular for it. Seriously, we are doomed.

A bad, ugly future is ahead.

Progress isn't rapid, it's incremental. That's what makes a lot of young adults scared. They don't see the yesterday problems, only the today ones. Progress is already happening where people are beginning to listen to the facts rather than assume someone is simply crazy without careful analysis. When society sees humans as humans you'll find it far easier to point out the issues of male inequality and work towards solutions. Women already want to be drafted equally. Biden passed that, trump rebuked it cause of course he fuckin did Republicans are just bad for everyone.

We make progress when progressives are in charge. They don't ignore it, it's just easy to quietly put equality ahead of everything and everyone paying attention will guzzle it down like a honeycomb. Like they say in the office; a quiet IT, a lazy IT, is an IT that's got everything fixed. A busy IT is in big trouble. When politics are quiet and uneventful, real work is being done. It's easy to keep track of if you are interested. It stuns me when idiots complain that Democrats don't do anything when I watch the infighting with progressives and send countless emails to representatives about current events.

If you want to watch the real change happen I invite you to pull up a chair and enjoy reading bills and watching your counsel work. Hell attend hearings and let your own voice be heard as well. They don't teach you all the avenues you have at your disposal to make real change, Pearson curriculum doesn't want the uppity poors telling their bought sponsorships what they're thinking. Keep your eyes open friend. It's already been happening nice and slow, if only because we have to keep convincing idiots to have a memory span beyond a year, ask trump how well that works out for us.

If nothing else this increasing marginalization of men is not sustainable. Men are pulling back more and more from society. It's becoming a "Something's got to give" Situation.
