Here's a bit of evidence that homelessness affects a greater percentage of men than women. It comes from two years of the Annual Homeless Assessment Report, published by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. (You might wanna save that URL for future reference.)

In 2023, 60.5% of homeless Americans were male (p. 13).

In 2022, 68.4% of homeless Americans were male (p. 26).

So far, I haven't mentioned the report from 2021 because it only counts sheltered homeless people. Even so, it's here if you want to see it.

This post is not meant to dismiss female or non-binary victims of homelessness, so don't take it that way.
