I feel a bit sad. It's as if something has gone full circle, or rather half circle and then diluted.

About six or seven years ago, as a leftist I felt uncomfortable with feminism and discovered there was something like the MRM, especially on YouTube, I think Tom Golden and Karen Straughan were the first ones. Then I discovered modern feminism was part of something called Identity Politics, or less friendly: SJW's, and followed criticism of that on YouTube and Facebook. Unfortunately there were people calling everything to the left 'SJW' so I had to look for a place that was really my home. I found Alternative Left on Facebook, Areo Magazine started, Quillette sometimes had some man-friendly but not rightist articles, even the populist Spiked which was especially great against puritanism. Intellectual Dark Web discussion pages started, Heterodox Academy started, I discovered Sex and Censorship, there really seemed to be something broader going on.

But lately Alternative Left and Areo seem not to want to profile themselves too much on IdPol, let alone men's issues. The same goes for many other pages, sites and other media I mentioned. This is not only due to Covid or the Floyd riots, it started already before that. When I want to know new things about men now I often return to YouTube, to people who consider that as their core business - only now it's Janice Fiamengo, BASSFZz and Better Bachelor. Maybe it's just that all the knowledge is there now, the thing is how to spread it to the world, but 'broader' media don't want to repeat themselves. Anybody having similar feelings?
