What is the "deemed donor option" (or deemed donor election") you ask? Basically the option for cis men and trans women dealing with an unwanted pregnancy to make an election to be treated the same as a clinical sperm donor. No parental rights or responsibilities.

The great thing about this language is that it undermines the "but children always have to have support from two parents" story because in every state, a cis woman is already allowed to go to a sperm bank and conceive a baby that legally only has one parent. (Of course it's allowed when it benefits cis women!)

All we're asking is for cis men and trans women to have the option to make an election to be treated as a donor, in cases where they are raped or reproductively coerced by cis women. If society can handle it fine in cases of sperm donation, it can handle it in these cases too.
