LOL. So someone thinks that because the Y chromosome has less genes, then that means males are 'lesser' in the survival stakes. Well then I guess we should all aspire to become a water flea, as they have more genes than any other creature, including female humans.

Bit late here but....And i will be using "you" to adress the writer, not OP.

The Y coming gift-wrapped in the sperm of most any dude you now know has lost about 1,955 genes — ie, over 97%. Currently, the Y chromosome is a trainwreck of about 45 surviving genes

I wouldn't call it a trainwreck. it has lost all but 45 genes, yes, but the last lost gene was 25 million years ago.

The balls are the worse place ever to stash Ys, as they are, geographically, exposed to dangerous oxidation and easily bombarded by mutations.

They are also the best place to stash them.
