I tend to find that after a period of time just living life as I do, I look at my bank account and realise I have 10+ grand in there all of a sudden.

Baby steps. Put that aside and act like it doesnt exist. Then rinse and repeate. I was in you position before and just followed this. It isn't emergency money, it isn't vacation money, it simply does not exist. Soon I was able to build a stack of $10,000.

It is very reassuring that I know I have that in case anything goes south. Extra money doesnt buy you happiness, but it gives you piece of mind.

Found MGTOW 4 years ago, and since then it has been nothing but positive things in my life: got more than 20k saved and still putting money away, recuperated on sleep (I was very sleep deprived while I was blue pill for various reasons), was very lucky not to lose my job during the quarantine, picked up my old hobby (fixing and assembling switching power supplies and audio amplifiers). During the 2019-2020 new years eve, my fridge died on me, had to replace it and also my apartment heating unit after 15 years of service is starting to fail and needs replacing before winter and washing mashine started to make loud noises. Both need replacing and will not be a problem because I have plenty money put away for such unforseen occurences. 2020 was a very hard year. It would have been a nightmare if I had been in a relationship. All I have to say is MGTOW is a blessing. If 2020 wasn't bad enough, having my fridge, apartment heating unit, and washing mashine die on me in the same fucking year, all during a quarantine when everyone is likely to lose their job it would have been desatrous if I had to cope with a female as well. Once again MGTOW saves my life.

It's not the amount of money which is important. You are living within your means, are able to save and have positive credit to your name.

Nice. I used to have a lot of cash saved until my house got robbed when my family and I went on vacation after I graduated high school. I regret not putting it in a bank since I wasn’t that tech savvy at the time.

Congratulations, you now have more in saving than the vast majority of US adults (no joke)

I would highly encourage you to try and continue this behavior and make yourself a serial saver going forward in life. The sooner you do this the better off you will be, I know you have had your parents, grand parents etc.. Tell you this same thing a thousand times, but I can not stress enough how much more beneficial this will be to you if you do this earlier rather than later.

Use your 20s to make bank, you'll have the time and energy to get it done, and its not unreasonable for you to still live with your parents at this age, giving you more opportunity to save. The reason you want to work so hard during you 20s is so you can stop working in your 30s or 40s instead of working right through to your 60s..

Sacrificing your 20s may seem like a big ask, but the reward is that you get at least 20 years back with the wealth to do whatever the fuck you want!

Your only young so you may still find a lot of legal barriers in your way, however I would use the opportunity to learn about personal finance.

Banks are paying jack in interest at the moment, so its pointless keeping your money there, so I would look at stocks and shares tax free accounts (I believe they are roth roa's! Sorry not US citizen so I'm not familiar, so make sure you are) and look at investing in dividend paying etfs as your saving platform, and reinvest that divided back into the etfs. There may be more qualified people here who might have other suggestions on building your wealth, what I am suggesting is just to keep your money from being lost to inflation sat in the bank..

And while your socialist teachers are spoonfeeding you on how to be a good drone, I would encourage you to dig deep for that American Capitalist inside of you and find some side hustle to start, start those extra revenue streams early..

Be a reseller on ebay, have an on demand shop, become a landlord, get some other sucker you pay off your morgage.. Hell! do all of it.. And this doesn't have to interfere with your chosen profession if you wish to have one..

And try and avoid all the shiny things that they convince you you want. Consoles, tvs, phones... You get the idea! By all means do get what you want, just remember that every dollar you spend now, is ten dollars you don't have in the future (this comparison may be wrong, but I doubt I am far off)

And for the love of god, don't worry about girl's, and certainly don't waste your cash on them. At that age they will happily spend you poor and then fuck off with chad because she never gave a shit about you... Wait till your 30s and fuck Stacy's younger hotter sister instead...

TL:DR: Plan Now, Make Bank in your 20s, Laugh at the drone cucks in your 30s from wherever the fuck you want to be, while your friends who called you names during your 20s, have to get up everyday and drag themselves to work for the next 30-40 years.
