Imagine how pissed the mom is 44k she will never see, the children should get to decide when they hit a certain age to continue payments or not. At least be able to argue it. Imagine the flood of cases where the child would want to say “Mommy spends it on herself”. But the moms would trick the kids into not saying that. So shits ducked.

How can a daughter cancel child support that she is not the recipient of? The mother gets the money from the state when they siphon it from the father. The daughter was not one of the parties in family court where the support was ordered. Some unique state law?

Read the OPs comment on the context for all of this. At the bottom it says the mother had her reasons. OPS is defending her. I'm guessing she found another resource to exploit and at the behest of the daughter so that she wouldn't hate her she agreed to sign the papers.
