First just a little background about me, I'm from a gulf country which is relatively stable, a divorced man that lost a lot of money, and lost hope on marriage.

Some people may think we Arabs have our women under control, and it's all sunshine and rainbows for men. But that is far from the truth right now. For many years more and more men are abandoning marriage, mainly because the cancer of feminism is creeping in. Even though the government provides incentives for men to get married, there are also lots of incentives for women to abuse their husbands and get divorced. Once you have one child with her, the rest of your life is literally at the mercy of her actions. A divorced woman with a child is entitled to a $200k real estate loan, as well as child care money from her ex and what have you. To many women here, marriage is a ticket to freedom and free money, get married, conceive a child, divorce, and she's set for life.

The risk-reward ratio of marriage for men makes absolutely no sense. This is also being exacerbated by how excruciatingly picky women have become. As a middle class man, you have to accept all those risks on top of settling with a woman that's much less attractive than yourself, that's what it's come down to. Fertility rates have dropped below the 2.1 mark years ago and keeps going down.

The local Arabic social media is filled with toxic feminist propaganda, and it's only getting worse by time. A lot of that content is being spread and endorsed by already rich women, women who got rich by simping men then ironically complaining about men.

The current state of affairs is complete bs and all signs point to it getting worse. I got divorced from a woman that treated me like a walking ATM machine, she didn't give a shit if I was on the verge of going broke. After the divorce she got away with a lot of my money, she hasn't lost a single penny, and yet she was still mad and demanded more. God knows what she could have done if we had a child. I really wanted to have kids and raise a family but man have I lost hope, it seems like conceiving is the riskiest thing a man can do right now.
