Women attempt more because people care about women. So women will use suicide as a cry for help. Men on the other hand bottle it up far longer then pull the plug when they realize that nobody cares and they have nothing to live for.

Just look at Facebook, filled with women with very minor problems moaning and getting endless love, affection and help. If a man moans about a massive problem in his life that is ruining him, he is either completely ignored or told some form of man up bull talk that doesn't help.

The only exception is rich and sexy men, but people only care because he has money.

Also, we have a team dedicated to helping women with suicide, but none for men (despite the fact that it is harder to save a man and thus they need more help).

Also, also, unlike the suicide rate, that statistic is inaccurate as many men who attempt suicide are unrecorded or ignored.

Finally, the suicide rate is probably even worse for men because many men try to make there suicide look like an accident (ex: car crash, drug overdose) for the sake of there loved ones

As someone who made many attempts on their own life early on, lemme re-state a big fact on this one.

When women are "trying to kill themselves", its noisy. They tell everybody. Every social account is lit up with messages. No person who ever actually intended to commit suicide does this. NOT ONE.

When men try to kill themselves, we smile. We say nothing. We tell everyone everything is fine and we're often the happiest liveliest people in the room at social events. Nobody sees it coming when the deed is already done.

I never once said a thing to anyone on any of my attempts. Family or friends would just find my limp almost-lifeless body inches from death from my attempts.

That stat is flawed. For instance, it doesn't count how many times a man held a gun to his head but failed to pull the trigger. Shouldn't that count as an attempt? It's like standing on the side of a bridge with the intent to jump. I'd imagine for every man that committed suicide with a gun or other "violent methods", he probably held the gun to his head dozens of times before actually pulling the trigger.

"The women attempt more" narrative is just bullshit used to dismiss and downplay male suicide and depression.

yes at 40 I have 2 dead classmates... both because of a woman... and also know 3 other men that committed suicide in my small town of 3000people in slovenia... all of them because of a woman... one of this guys was so destroyed that he drive with car to the wall and didn't die, got pills, nobody really cares about men.. he then 2 years later put his head in front of the train and got torn apart and thrown around the field 50 meters from his house.. the slut that took his kid away from him came to the funreal like it was nothing...
