Yep. Motorcycle can be the best addition in your life. It doesn't have to be the fastest sport bike or the most expensive Harley, just 2 wheels with some good engine that fits in your budget.

There are bikes for every like. After all, a ride is a ride.

I've rode scooters in my teens, commuted on a sportsbike for three years and recently got a car license with a four-wheelers that comes with it. So don't get me wrong, I was hardcore rider until recently, I'm not trying to prove any point or whatever.

Maybe that's an OCD but I have a very strong entitlement over marginal use. Meaning if something does one thing better than the other, I will only use that better thing. I have absolutely no pleasure in having two phones, two guitars, two pairs of shoes, [...] you get it. So now that I have a car, ...I have to admit it does everything the motorcycle does in a better way. It's slower and isn't as easy to park, that's about it.

So I haven't really touched my bike since six months as the car really is a fucking good upgrade. It's comfortable, I can carry stuff, wear anything, in any weather, have the radio, can sleep in it, can do long drives without being as exhausted (I crossed France twice, and the twelve hours ride in december was tough).

I'm not trying to ruin any fun, I'm not even saying it's dangerous - to be honest, I feel safer on a bike because it's agile and little, I also shield myself from the dumbasses pretty well on the road. But more freedom ? Sure I enjoy the spirited riding, having the wind in the face really reminds you that enjoying the moment is important, as you aknowledge how of a fragile human you are. Sure I enjoy the simple and mechanical experience, getting a smooth clutchless gear shifting. But do I call that freedom ? As far as I remember, I used to carry as much stress and worry on two wheels than on four, you can't ride away from your problems.

The motorcycle saved my sanity. Literally. It is, by far, one of the most incredible feelings ever. It HAS to be experienced to understand it. Riders could try to explain it to you, but nothing compares with actually riding. Not as a passenger. As the rider. Guys who ride know what I'm talking about. I don't think it's something you ever forget, that first time on YOUR bike. Phenomenal. Thank you KTM.
