Being Friendzoned = being her backup plan number #8.

Friendzoned guys are usually good providers. And before welfare, being a good provider as a man had alot of value/use for a woman.

Now being a good provider isn't so important anymore; thus they get friendzoned and used as a possible backup plan if welfare or whatever fails. And most women go of after the good genes/looks men in their top fertile/looks years, instead of pair bonding with the good providers. At least to a large extend.

In old times guys were also friendzoned, but as a backup plan for their current male-provider.

Woman are masters at keeping around backup plans.

Red hot in Australia. 22 years ago I was given a AVO. I had committed no crime. The police served it on me had to go to court and waste coin. I was allowed to pick up my son but that cost me $200 per week. The mother arranged private collection. So full welfare plus a $200 per week top up. Yes, it has always existed.

More specifically, imagine a group of 30 early humans on the African Savannah 150,000 years ago.

Then imagine one young eligible female, who wanted to get the sperm of the best genes/best provider.

If she went around publicly rejecting (and criticizing) every single man in the group (except the "best man"), then this might work (if she is attractive enough to get the best man). But, in doing so, the entire group of men will hate her. This would be bad for group dynamics, bad for child rearing, bad for resource sharing, and REALLY BAD if her man dies.

Thus, the women who subtly "maintained orbiter men" and "kept men interested" and kept "platonic friends" probably left more offspring, than the women who blew off the whole tribe.

No because in the past, men weren't dumb enough to let their women be friends with other men. And when it came to the single women, their fathers wouldn't let men be friends with their daughter because then she would become a slut and he can't marry her off to a man. I think it's more of a coincidence. In fact, before the welfare state women needed to extract resources from men even more. If they did behave better back then, it was probably because they weren't protected by one-sided "anti-violence against women" and "anti-harrassment" laws and were threatened by fault divorce, not because there wasn't welfare.

Both factors are symptoms of the big government women so love and vote for, though.

It didn't and it did at once, it's just that they admitted that guys in the friend zone were orbiters (and therefore were more open into asking for things).

The FZ nowadays (well, male friends as a whole when it comes to women) still means "orbiters" but it's a new nay to describe it in order to look less like an opportunistic thot.
