My brother was dating this gal for 4 years or so, everything was great. Lived together and he had a six figure job, while she barely made above minimum wage. Then they decided to have a child and get married. Within 3 years she filed for divorce, hired a lawyer to get as much as she could out of him and reduce his visitation rights with his son, and then reported him for being late on his child support/alimony payments. She did this knowing his company would likely let him go (company policy) for wage garnishments.

Well, he was let go. Because he wasn’t good at managing his $, he quickly lost his house, car, and possessions. In the meantime, she’d purposely piss him off by harassing him about missed payments and withheld visits w/ his son; to the point he stupidly threatened her with violence via email. Well, she went to the cops and he was arrested for that; did some jail time and then went on probation which turned out to be a nightmare of taking classes and drug/alcohol tests which he could not afford (couldn’t find anything above minimum wage) until he missed to many tests and failed his probation. He’s going back to jail for many months, but will at least be done with probation and tests afterwards.

So, he’s got little hope at getting back to his former life, at being a big influence in his son’s life, and will likely struggle to just survive the rest of his life. He’s definitely accountable for his mistakes; he made plenty. I just know how different things would be if hadn’t taken the plunge into marriage with a child.

I’ll personally never forgive that bitch as I know she went after him to destroy him and succeeded on all accounts. Hoping karma bites her in the ass.
