At 34 you're old enough that if you wanted kids you would've had them by now. Plenty of men become fathers later in life, but the guys who WANTED to be dads usually do it earlier, because nobody wants to be 40 years old chasing a 2 year old around.

It'd be a lot harder (but not impossible) to find a sympathetic doctor if you were 20.

At 34 you should be fine.

I got one last year, and no the doctors will not fight you on it, they just ask to make sure you know what you are getting into. My doctor has performed 100s of them and just wanted to be sure you knew what you were doing. Doctors don't fight men on it as much as they fight women on it. This is one case where being a guy is so much easier.

The doctors won't fight you. That is a myth. You will find they will respect your choice. You go in, tell them what you want them to do and they do it and you pay them. There is no place for input on their part except for medical reasons. I decided to have one. The above is what I found where I went. I went to my appointment, snip, go home and them back to work. I didn't "consult" anyone. No one OFFERED input and I wanted none. If you are wondering about "after," I experienced absolutely no difference in sexual experience.

Had a vasectomy about 5-6 yrs ago. I was concerned I would have to fight the doc on it too but he never pushed back on why I was getting it or asked me about kids. Balls were sore for a weekend but all good the following week. It's a good excuse to park it and marathon some games/netflix.

I was about your age. We were done having kids and pregnancy was a major health risk to my wife. I had a non-cancerous growth in one of my nuts and asked the doc to kill two birds with one stone. He wanted me to get counseling, I suppose in case we lost one of our kids. I told him I was adamant with my decision. And I was done using condoms.

Surgery went well and I was moving about normally and pain free within a week or so.

Mine was at 44, no prior kids and never married. Spoke with several doctors and not one tried to push back. They want you to be sure, but never tried to persuade. This was east coast.... maybe different in middle-america or down south.

The reason I say that it most likely is 100% is because of paternity fraud. The reasons some of these studies cite is that sperm is a 'burrowing' cell and can wriggle its way through membrane walls into other parts of your sack, but this feels like scientists reaching to find a complicated answer instead of accepting that women lie. Occams Razor.

Got mine at 21. In the US it should be available to anyone over 18 though you might have to find the right doctor. /r/childfree has some resources listed.

It was slightly uncomfortable during the operation and a bit sore for a few days, but honestly a hard workout hurts more. No lasting issues that I know of.

But simply tell them..."ive thought long and hard about this and ive decided this is what i want" doctors are surprising resistant to do it. Maybe its a legal thing? you have have to sign a crap load of paperwork.

Had mine at 23, long before I even knew about mgtow. Got the referral from a family doctor, spoke with the urologist (he didn't even try to argue with me) and booked an appointment. The procedure was pretty painless, with the exception of the initial needle injection (I know some places do no needle, but I didn't get lucky). Spent a week recovering, went to work after that and everything was fine :) Definitely worth.

Got mine at 34. I have two kids, so no trouble from the doc besides a 30 day waiting period and some required reading. Got a drip of happy drugs during the procedure so I was high as fuck while enjoying the odor of burning nutsack. Put me out on the couch for a couple of days.

I would recommend lying about about having 2 kids. Say you're unmarried so you don't have to get "permission". Make up names, birthdays, ages. That's probably as far as the urologist will investigate.

It depends on you. It's definitely safer if you still sleep with women, and it might even save your life from some crazy bitch. But just to spout the tradcon bullshit at you, you don't know what can happen. While it is much safer now, it's sadly not an on/off switch and may affect you in the same way the fruitjobs who have a sex change are affected (not implying that you are mentally ill, of course).

I would say straight celibacy is the way to go, but if it is not for you, go for it. As some other people here have said, just leave yourself with options just in case you find that unicorn. Freeze your sperm or something.

It's hard enough for most of us to resist under normal circumstances, but if you know that you've spent money and had surgery specifically for that, it becomes difficult to justify going monk mode. because then what was the point of getting the vasectomy?
